Pilot Projects

The development of the PURE3D infrastructure will be completed in multiple iterations after researching previous work in the field and gathering user requirements via focus groups, surveys, and other forms of user feedback. Because we want to ensure that the infrastructure will be suitable for the needs of the 3D community, we will be prototyping and testing its different aspects by using six pilot projects. These include both large and complex 3D environments as well as digitised collections of objects. By the end of the second year of the project and once a prototype of the infrastructure is in place we will also release a call for additional projects to become part of the PURE3D infrastructure.

Partners

This project is made possible with the aid of multiple partner institutions. Pilot partners are organizations that will be one of the first to have a project uploaded to the PURE3D Platform. DANS and CLARIAH are partners that offer technical and hosting support for the PURE3D infrastructure. Finally, we have a number of partners that are on our advisory board and technical committee.
