Museum van Bommel van Dam is a municipal museum with a large collection of modern and contemporary art. The collection was donated to the municipality of Venlo by Maarten and Reina van Bommel-van Dam in 1969, which lead to the opening of the first modern art museum in the province of Limburg in 1971. With artists such as Erwin Olaf, Shinkichi Tajiri, Eugène Brands and Rob Scholte, its inventory is mainly composed by Dutch artists.
In addition to the traditional exhibitions, the museum focuses on projects for new target groups and current urban issues.
