Voyager Story Tutorial on 25 Northumberland Road
Throughout the course of PURE3D activities, we have been instructing students, researchers and museum professionals on how to use Voyager Story for developing a 3D Scholarly Edition. A Voyager tutorial packet has been developed based on the first 3D Scholarly Edition made with PURE3D, 25 Northumberland Road. This tutorial document is a step-by-step guide walking new Voyager users through the Voyager Story interface and the various narrative pathways – articles, annotations and tours.
The full tutorial packet can be downloaded from Zenodo and the document is available here for perusal and download as well. Please note this tutorial assumes you have the following:
- the 3D models and JSON file needed to do the tutorial, and
- a Voyager Workspace available to you to complete the mini-edition.
If you are interested in doing the full tutorial you can contact PURE3D project members at pure3d-fasos@maastrichtuniversity.nl to request a Voyager tutorial workspace inside our infrastructure with the possibility to save and return to the tutorial. It is also possible to play around with Voyager using the Voyager Standalone web-based application. This option comes with no online saving but you can download your work as an JSON file.
We also have a series of generalised video tutorials on the various Voyager functions covered in this document. These are published on our Youtube Channel as well as in Training Materials section of our website.
