We have started working at the Museum van Bommel van Damme to digitise in 3D a collection of approximately 15 objects that will form the basis for the PURE3D pilot project. The history of Museum van Bommel van Dam goes back to 1969, the year in which Maarten and Reina van Bommel-van Dam donated their extensive art collection to the municipality of Venlo. The collection now includes thousands of paintings, drawings and graphic works, as well as a number of sculptures. Most are made by twentieth century Dutch artists. The museum also has an extensive collection of ethnographic art.
As we will be processing the captured image datasets and will be generating 3D models, we will share these here and on our social media. Follow us on Twitter @PURE3DNL
